Year 13


Parents Evenings 

We will be hosting an academic intervention and support evening for parents/ guardians on Wednesday 7th February. 

The next Y13 parents evening will take place on 21st March, 2024. Further information on how to book slots will be emailed to parents/gaurdian's nearer the time. 

Higher Education Evening

Final Exams 2024 

The timetable for the Y13 final exams can be found here. Please note that the national contingency date is 26th June, all students must be available on this date should any of the exams need to be postponed.

Y13 Prom 

The Year 13 Prom will be held on Tuesday 2nd July from 7:30pm to 11pm (although we recommend arriving at 7pm). This is an event organised by the Year 13 Prom Committee. Tickets are £45 and include a formal two-course sit-down meal and a welcome drink, the evening includes a disco. Tickets are available on Scopay. 

Leavers Hoodies 

The Year 13 Prom Committee will be organisiging leavers’ hoodies for those who would like a memento of their time at Balcarras. It will feature the names of all members of the Class of 2024 on the back. Costs will be announced closer to the time. Any profits made from the sale will contribute towards the Year 13 Prom. Colours and size information can be found on the company website. If you would like to know what the hoodies will look like, a copy of the design will be displayed in the common room on the Prom Notice Board for you to have a look at nearer the time. There will also be sample sizes available to try on in Year 13 study.

Please also note that Mrs Lewis, our careers advisor, runs a weekly drop-in clinic every Thursday in the Sixth Form meeting room for any post-18 questions students may have.
