Parents, pupils and staff helped to prepare the school for winter

We held another of our Groundforce events, where we encouraged staff, pupils and parents to come into school and help look after the school grounds. We had a good turn out with around thirty people of all ages. Who helped with digging over the vegetable plot, planting bulbs and winter bedding plants. As well as clearing weeds and picking up leaves.

As a thank you there was a BBQ with some sausages and a drink. The early evening brought the event to an early conclusion, but there was a noticeable improvement in the school grounds after the event. "It was great to spend some time outdoors and to see so many people willing to lend a hand gardening" said Mr Constance.
