Thursday is World Book Day......

To celebrate World Book Day, Balcarras staff have generously given their voices to a new ‘audiobook extracts’ library, which can be found on the VLE (https://balcarras.fireflycloud.net/english/wbd-2021-audiobook-library-2). With contributions from staff across the school, and with readings from Mark Haddon’s ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time,’ Bill Bryson’s ‘The Body,’ and ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Bronte (to name but a few) there is bound to be something for everyone.  You need to be a memeber of the school community and have access to the VLE to hear these.

The recordings are anonymous and Mrs Springer, our Librarian, is offering a prize to the pupil who can correctly identify the most members of staff from their voice. Please email your entries to me: ajw@balcarras.gloucs.sch.uk
