An update on Vaccinations for Secondary School Aged Students.

We are aware that some students are due vaccinations this school year and with the current Covid situation, we thought it would be helpful to outline those vaccinations that are due and to share some key information and helpful contacts should you have any concerns. HPV (Human PapillomaVirus) Vaccine:

Girls and boys aged 12 to 13 years are offered the first HPV vaccination when they are in Year 8. The second dose is offered 6 to 24 months after the first dose. Please visit:

3 in 1 Teenage Booster Vaccine:

The teenage booster, also known as the 3-in-1 or the Td/IPV vaccine, is given to boost protection against three separate diseases:

Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio.

It is routinely given in Year 9 at the same time as the MenACWY vaccine. Please visit:

Year 8

Monday 17th May Year 8 HPV first dose – consent forms to be provided by NHS

 

Year 9

Monday 10th May Year 9 HPV second dose – consent forms have been provided

Wednesday 19th May Year 9 DTP/MenACWY – consent forms to be provided by NHS

 

Year 10

Wednesday 12th May Year 10 DTP/MenACWY – consent forms to be provided by NHS

 

*Please note these dates may be subject to change depending on the Covid situation at that time.

 

Community Vaccination Clinics:
