School Sponsored walk

Friday 29th Sept saw the whole school take part in a sponsored walk

The school Sponsored walk went ahead despite rain in the morning.   The idea is to raise lots of money for charity – we are aiming to raise £16,000, and to get some fresh air in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.  A number of pupils and teachers ran the course, with the rest of the school walking.

Joe Willgoss orgainised the event and had this to say "I hope you all enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the most incredible setting. We really are lucky to live in such surroundings, and have such a pleasant way of raising money.  Well done to Mr Simon Critchley who yet again won the staff event. Another special mention to Dr Simon Jones who yet again got lost and admirably gave up the win.  Well done also to Miss Sammie Flavell on being the first female finisher.  Special mention goes to Ollie Powell who was the fastest pupil and fastest finisher overall"

Do you have any photos of your experience on the day? If you would like to see them on the school website then send them to Mr Pearce jwp@balcarras.gloucs.sch.uk
