3,630 face shields made

Demand for face shields for the NHS is finally reducing

The final number of face shields made and distributed by Balcarras D&T department is 3630. Production is now being scaled back as there has been a fall in demand - finally the NHS is getting the essential PPE they need to protect themselves!

Mrs. Swanepoel and Mrs. Denyer would like to say a final thank you to all those involved in the project. It has been amazing to see the response from the local community and they have been genuinely moved by the support they have had.

We still have a good stock of face shields so please get in contact with Mrs Swanepoel if you know of any organisations or professionals who need them. Mrs. Denyer continues to coordinate the sewing of scrubs, scrub bags, and headbands so her work continues.
