At the weekend 34 staff from Balcarras will be running the Cheltenham half marathon. This morning on Radio Gloucestershire Jon Pearce and Mark Constance talked live about their fundraising.  We are fundraising for Sue Ryder who supported our friend Kevin Clancy who was a teacher at school. So far we have managed to raise over £5,000.

In addition to this today is the schools sponsored walk, where all of the pupils are off timetable and do a walk in the Cotswolds to raise money for the same charity. "It is a great chance for our school community to come together and fund raise" said Mark. Kevin's children came to Balcarras, and he was a teacher here for many years. In fact his daughter Anna is also running a half marathon for the first time.
