Having triumphed at the regional finals, the Balcarras Young Enterprise team, Pearl, travelled to Manchester last Tuesday to take part in the prestigious National Final. Competing against the top teams from across the UK.

Ahead of the final, the team worked hard to prepare both a promotional advert for their product and a formal presentation (see below). On the day of the event, they set up an impressive trade stand and faced a series of interviews with multiple judges.

The overall winners were Solasta from Scotland, who developed an intergenerational journal titled In Their Words. While Pearl did not take the top spot, reaching the national final is a significant achievement in itself. The team performed exceptionally and should be incredibly proud of everything they’ve accomplished.
