On Tuesday evening we were treated to a wonderful Key Stage Three production of Grim: Once Upon a Musical. The cast made up of 45 pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 belted out a wonderful performance which included great singing, dancing and plenty of humour. This is the third year that the Key Stage Three Drama Club have put on a summer performance and it has become something of a mainstay of our provision now. It was the last in a long line of superb performing arts events at Balcarras since September—it truly has been an epic year!

We would like to congratulate everyone in the cast. They have been rehearsing for some during drama club after school, and they also had the first two days of activities week to add the final polish—and my goodness it was polished.

Particular thanks to Mr Caleb Horne for the technicals and to Mrs Caroline Powell for all of her support. Of course major thanks to Ms Hannah Went who directed the whole thing.

One final thing. It was lovely to see 4 sixth form pupils involved in helping with the direction—Madz Breeze, Maddie Coulthard, Evie Chicken and Evie Brough. It says a lot about the drama department at Balcarras that they have spent part of their summer here this week.
