Year 10 Bristol trip

PleaseOver 100 Geographers in Year 10 took a trip to Bristol on Monday

As part of their GCSE Geography course Year 10 pupils had a visit to Bristol to carry out some fieldwork. Bristol is a city that is undergoing Regeneration and the pupils were looking at the impact of this in the Temple Quarter region of Bristol.

The day started out with a boat ride around the docks looking at the land use of the area, from £2 million warehouse apartments to the house boats along the river. We managed to avoid the rain that was forecast and keep dry as we then walked around the train station testing out a variety of data collection techniques. This included a look at the new University building by the station.

"This was better than the ski trip" said James Kirker after the day.

The day ended with a trip to Cabots Circus where the pupils had some lunch and time to explore the shops in Bristol.
