On Wednesday Balcarras Year 7 Girls took part in the District Football Championships held at Tewkesbury School. The girls won all three group games beating Cotswold 2-0, Chipping Campden 2-0 and Chosen Hill 1-0. In the semi finals the girls beat The High School Leckhampton 1-0.

The final against Cleeve School was a tight affair and ended goalless. This meant that Balcarras completed the tournament without conceding. The match went to penalty kicks and after 9 penalties each it was still deadlocked. In the end we lost on sudden death. But the girls have qualified for the County Championships. Well done to them and to their coaches Mrs Thomson and Mr Spring-Wallis.
