On Friday 10^th March Alex Chalk MP visited Balcarras to meet Year 7 pupils. Mr Chalk explained to them his role as an MP and also talked about how parliament works. The year group were assembled in the gym which had been arranged to resemble the House of Commons. After Mr Chalk’s talk the pupils had the chance to ask him questions about his job and the political issues of the day. It was lively session and the school would like to thank Mr Chalk for giving up his time to talk about the importance of parliament.
