Sixth Form Admissions 2022
Congratulations on completing your GCSEs and receiving your results.
The Sixth Form is open throughout the GCSE Results Day on Thursday 25th August, 09:00 – 16:00, and on Friday 26th August, 09:00 – 12:30.
Information for applicants from Balcarras
If you have met the criteria of your offer, you will automatically have a place on your chosen courses – congratulations! We look forward to welcoming you on Friday 2nd September!
If you achieve the grades but decide that you no longer wish to take a place at Balcarras Sixth Form, please contact Mrs Cheryl Crowley (tel. 01242 545118 or CC@balcarras.gloucs.sch.uk) to let us know so that we can offer the place to someone else.
If you have met the criteria of your offer but wish to change one or more of your subject choices, then please contact the Sixth Form team today. All subject change requests will be dependent on meeting the published entry criteria and the available group capacity.
If your results unfortunately are lower than you had hoped for, and you have not met all or any of the entry criteria for all your subjects, please do contact us. If you would like to discuss your options, then you please contact us before 3pm. Information for applicants from all other schools
If you have applied to join Balcarras Sixth Form from another school, and you have met the criteria of your offer, it is vital that you e-mail (with a scanned copy of your results), or return by hand, a copy of your results and confirm that you intend to take up your place in Balcarras Sixth Form. If we do not hear from you by the end of GCSE Results Day, we will assume you no longer wish to take up your place and withdraw you. Please be aware that due to the volume of applications to the Sixth Form, we anticipate that the oversubscription criteria will be applied. We will confirm places as quickly as possible.
