Last week we held a successful 'Balcarras in Bloom' event. Where staff, pupils, parents, PTFA members and other members of the school community came along to a planting event. This involved putting in bedding plants, removing weeds, adding some vegetables to the vegetable garden. A new herb garden was set up out the back of the food rooms. 

The idea for this came from the schools green group, and was organised by Mr Constance. The PTFA provided some refreshments and a BBQ for those helping out. "It was a great event, and so nice to see so many people from both Balcarras and The High School Leckhampton making the school look a greener, tidier space" said Mr Pearce who runs the schools Eco club.
