After being crowned Gloucestershire champions in April the school golf team went on to compete in the national finals this week. The team consisted of three players and the best two stableford scores would count. The finals were held at Woodhall Spa and played on the Bracken course against 33 other schools from across England.  The team made an excellent start and were holing birdie putts for fun on the front nine but some difficult holes on the back nine proved costly as Balcarras finished in 5^th place and just one point off 2^nd place. I would like to congratulate Freddie Coombe, Alex Perry and Sam Ellicott on some excellent golf and for representing the school with such fantastic conduct. We are already looking forward to next year now!
