Year 2 Visit Science

On Friday 28 June, 90 Year 2 pupils from Charlton Kings Infants School visited the science department. They did four sessions of 30 minutes each looking a a different bit of science.

Mrs Atkin showed them the different colours that chemicals burn in the science of fireworks.

Mr Niblett and Dr Jones played with static electricity and the Van Der Graaf generator. The pupils got to make their own circuits light up.

With Mrs Hearing the pupils got to play with acids and alkalis and the different colours they go with indicators.

Miss Evans showed the pupils different demos to do with energy including the screaming jelly baby, elephant's toothpaste and soda sugar snakes.

The pupils had a lovely time and left really excited about science!
