NEXT MEETING: Monday 26th April, 7.00 pm at The Royal, Charlton Kings – ALL WELCOME

The PTFA helps to organise several social and fund-raising events throughout the year, such as the Quiz Night & Midsummer Music. We also support the school by serving refreshments at a number of events such as the School Production.

Our recent Quiz night was a great success and we are now awaiting bids from Heads of Department in order to spend the money raised during the last year.

The PTFA is in need of new members and people to help out in any way that they can and also is also looking for new fundraising ideas or any ways in which you feel that the PTFA can support parents and the school.

We are currently trying to break down the roles within the PTFA so that a variety of tasks can be undertaken by a wider range of people. Areas that we need help with are:

Buying of drinks for events

Updating information on the website/Preparing Newsletter entries

Plus any others, which can lighten the load for members and enable people to become more involved.

These tasks could be shared by two people or more in order to lighten the load further!

If you can help in any way – maybe by serving refreshments at an event or by taking on one of the roles above or with any ideas for future PTFA events - we would be very pleased to hear from you.

As you probably know 'PTFA' stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends Association; and that is exactly what we are. A group of like-minded people who want to help Balcarras School by raising money and having a bit of fun at the same time.
